How can I make my Zip stop flipping?
Anything over the 28K motor causes these cars to flip when turning. What are you guys doing to correct this?

Where can I pick up some of this skill? Can you go ask your mom which store she took you to when you got yours?

ROFLOL!!! I just spit out half of my burger onto my keyboard!!! That was toooooo funny.
Okay. Back to the topic. Many people modify the bodies of their cars to ride lower, which alters the car's center of gravity. Other people use slot cars springs as shock absorbers. Tomy also sells stabisus kits, which will alter how stiff the suspension is on your car. Lowering is probably the most effective way to solve the problem.
Do a search using words like lowering, stabisus and springs. You should find a ton of info.
Oh yah. Changing to tires with a different rubber hardness can also help with the problem. Traction will

ROTFLMAO!
Experiment with different tire configurations, make sure that the tires are properly on the car and definitely think about springs.

first off, its not skill you have, you just let go of the throttle when you turn
i hate doing that, i have a heavy finger, so you can always add a small piece of plastic and tape it under the car so it extends about 1" out of each side. use some kind of tape to hold it in place and bend it slightly upwards so it doesnt drag without turning. for some of my zip bodies i bend paper clips so they squeeze in beside the chassis and body shell and they work real well. depends on the body and how you bend the clip. if you use some of the clear zz box stuff for the anti flip thing, just tape it to the bottom.
if you dont want something showing out from under the car(do you really want fashion over function?) you can change to harder(less grippy) tires, add springs to the suspension(not sure how well this really works, never done it), and lowering will help a little bit. you can also drive the car around a little bit on a dusty surface(roll it around your dresser or desk in your room since you never dust it like your mom tells you to ) and let the tires get dusty. if it isnt too much, then this will let the tires break traction more easily and slide rather than flip. but if it gets too dusty it will just be one hard mother funker to control i find that the underbody wing thing works best. if the thing you use is clear its not very noticable when it is running.

I use suspension springs and Microsizer black slicks, and my car still flips sometimes.
I'm about to do up a small KIT Racers wheelset for my Zip to see if lowering it that way helps.
Then I'll take a whack at lowering the body to lower the center of gravity a little more.
I'm really impressed at how it helped a dual cell bitclone of mine.
That's all I have right now.
Oh yeah, no matter what anyone tells you DON'T put those wing things on your car to keep it from rolling, it's weak weak weak.
(My opinion)

I just did a dual cell mod on one of my old chassis. It was slow compared to the new ones, but really screams now. The car is so fast, it's nearly uncontrollable. The slightest bump of the steering at full throttle will send the car barrel rolling for a dozen flips. I noticed the cars get harder to track a straight line at these speeds too. We recently redid the entire living room kitchen and a small library room that are all one big floor space with lenoleum. I can run the car flat out for over 25ft. Just a slight drift in either direction and a tiny correction of steering and your rolling again. Amazingly fast, I mean like a bullet fast, but impossible to drive.

Try adding another steering return spring.
I've found that they damp the steering down a little, reducing the jerkyness of it.
Also, if you are careful, you can bend the ends of the springs in a little to capture the steering thingy better. That will help straight-line tracking considerably.

My dual-cell Bit-Zap runs with Strider's recommended springs. I never needed a second return spring. My cars runs straight as a ruler!!! The springs helped alot to straighten out the ride, and also helped a lot with cornering.

That must be the secret. If you can run folthtle, you'll develop those mad racing skills. I think I have a spare folthtle in in the basement to try.

Thanks Strider. I'll try fiddling with the springs. The car runs straight, it just kinda drifts one way or another after about 15 ft or so. Stiffer steering would probably help.
