Cool My Microsizer Pro became an Organ Donor *DUW*

I lurk a lot but never really post any of my cars so this is a first.

Well after picking up one of the new microsizer pros a few days ago I was fairly unsatisfied with it. The thing was extremely noisy and I also guess I'm used to the longer wheelbase of the zipzap. I did however like the pcb so I decided it would have a better home nestled in the chassis of my first zipzap with a first gen pcb. The transplant was relatively simple, just made sure I marked and wrote down which wires corresponded and swapped it in. With a zip turbo motor and 8.25 gearing I am extremely satisfied with the boosted performance. I'm still debating over whether or not to dual-cell this one.

yep, I did this same thing a couple of weeks ago, except with a normal tomy PCB. Even from a 3rd gen pcb to a tomy I saw a big improvement. The soldering is easy, I just drew up a diagram of the wires and used the same solder already on the board. Good times, and the controller is much better.

Thanks for the compliments.

$35 bucks, ouch. They're only 20 here.

I have no regrets about doing the swap, it's the best mod I've tried yet as this is definately my favorite micro now. The booster PCB is definately what this old zip needed to wake it up.

Haha, cowfish, that's exactly how mine looks sittin here right now with that orange challenger body and the torque thrust wheels.

Nah, I like to hang onto them, never know what I might dream up that I'll need the parts for.
