Yeah, yeah, I know you want everyone to see your post, so you post it in the popular forum. Not sayin' I never done the same, but you've acknowledged that you've created a hassle for the mods. Why not not just post it in the proper forum?

Sorry for my bluntness, I'm drunk.

Let's see...

Not only have you made extra work for me because I'm going now have to move this to the Misc. Discussion area...Which you ALREADY knew better than to do, but you've also LITTERED the other Forums with this same link.

So, now I've got to move this thread, DELETED the duplicates AND I'll ask you nicely to change your signature. Summarily saying ZipZaps are 'gay' is an inflammatory remark and stirring up trouble is NOT allowed on the TinyRC forums.

IMHO Zips are better cars than Bits

They just copied the idea of a micrp R/C car. If nobody copied any ideas IBM would be the only one making computers, Ford would be the only car manufactuer (even though I like Ford) & those companies would be able to charge a lot more for the items because that'd be the only place to get them. Also IMO Zip Zaps & clones were a good step towards publisizing & bringing down the cost of Mini R/c in America & if they didn't come along then I'd have 1 Bit Ghar-G either broken or held togther with glue & duct tape & still be saving up for a new one

Yay!! Heres an opportunity to voice an opinion I have been forming for a long while now. I really like bits, and I paid $35 (I think) for my very first one. The only problem with bits is that tomy seems to be very slow at making them better… They are almost identical now as they were a year ago. They have made very few new bodies, and no innovations to the whole concept of the micro rc at all. Sure they made a week idea of a micro monster truck reality, but there are already other companies making better miro monster trucks too (i.e., ones that are actually 4wd).

See, I think zip zaps and motorworks are a good thing (yes I said motorworks are good) because they are innovative… Changeable rims, spoilers, and radioshack keeps getting exclusive rights to movies so you can get xmen bodies and fast and furious bodies. Radioshack has also been quicker about making newer and faster motors than tomy. I mean, how long has the 3.0 been around? To my knowledge they still have yet to release it as an official bit char-g (or microsizer) motor. The only thing bits have over clones at this point are the boosters…. And they aren’t going to be holding that long, I’ve already seen the lxx cars with boosters, so you know it’s only a matter of time before zip zaps have them.

So anyway, I’ll now try to summarize my babbling… Yes, without bits there would be no zips… BUT! Without zips, the mico world would be a lot more expensive bland and boring.

I'm not so sure. If Henry Ford never introduced the model T, someone else would have. I think the tech for micros was coming from a couple of directions. Tomy just got to market first. Now, I for one, am VERY pleased that Zips came along. They made the micro scene much more scale looking and much less cartoony. You can see how some brands, like MW, are slowly changing from Bit knock offs to Zip knock offs. There's a reason for that. Bits may have started the trend, but Zips revolutionized it.

i paid a premium price for my two bits. 60 bucks for two of them! my clone is almost as good of quality and i got it for $3! i think that people dont like clones or zips as much as bcgs because they might think they are generic or not as high of quality. however there are some good clones out there and some of them are faster stock than bcgs and zips. i think that bits, zips and clones are all good.

Three dollars!!?? I hate ya man. Just kidding. I agree, all of them are good in their own way. I prefer the Zips. Some prefer chocolate, some like strawberry, but it's all ice cream.

i bet soem people never even thought that some people dont care whats better and whats not, they just wanted something small and rc. I mean, pay $5 for a micro rc car thats full function that you can drive around at work in spare time, you cant set of fireworks or drive full sized rc cars at work. Who wants to pay $25 to $50 for something you could pay $5 to $10 for and have just as much fun?
