doods, for the steering thing I just pick the car up, and if it's not turning one way-- but you still here a faint clicking sound when you press the button then something is interfering with the mechanism eh?
usually the steering rack getting hung up on something, or the white things that hold the front wheel axles (they have burrs on them from the factory sometimes)--just take it all apart and lightly sand all surfaces with some 200 or 400 grit wet/dry paper. Or even the wheels getting hung up on the car body. I had one car with a totally worthless suspension bar allowing the front wheel axle holders (whatever their tech name is) to travel all the way up to the top thus hindering turning.
people are right in this thread, it wouldn't be the return spring, if that's not working the car simply doesn't return to neutral, but flick the wheels a little and see if the return spring is bringing the wheels to neutral? however there could be a slight chance it came off one or the other post thus forcing the steering to one side.
Just adding to the mess is all, peace out!
