Those of you who are into/own any sort of big 1/12-1/4 r/c scale cars know about each crystal in the r/c cars are important and that if you have the same band as someone else, you could essentially end up driving there car. Most of the cheap AM radios you get come in a 27mhz crystal band and then it gets more specific like 27.xxx (xxx being other numbers like .145 so you can race 10 cars with 27mhz band but have no conflicts because the last three digits are different from other cars) Anyhow I found out what band the microsizer is to be exact for the 27mhz. It was 27.145 which is in the car and controller, just read the back of your manual. It may be different though cause my microsizer is the canadian one.
Anyhow my plan would be to buy a full size crystal of 27.145, alternate it into the controller (meaning controllers for the nitro cars and such) and hopefully if all goes well, you get a radio with a long distance and possibly proportional throttle, not sure about steering cause of the design of it. For those of you confused... well this is kind of confusing to explain, so..... give it a shot if you are into those large r/c cars (meaning "non-tycoish" kind, more along the lines of HPI, Serpent, and Tamiya), i would try it but i have a 49 mhz car .

Maybe i should purchase a 27 mhz car soon.
