Got my LiPos in the other day and tonight I modded my Evo8 to handle it.
Here are some shots...
- Motor wires upgraded to 18 gauge
- Quad stacked upgraded FETs
- Power rerouted topside, AAA battery holder removed

And finally here is the Xmods next to the LiPo pack (7.4v @ 750maH). Right now I'm running the pack loose between the chassis and body, I need to rig up a battery strap of some kind.
Looks good, just watch the motor. Too long of run times and you might burn it up. I've been strongly considering drilling some holes through some of my motor cans to help.
I'm still trying to find cheaper bearings for motors, the best I've seen are still about $2 per bearing.
