Painting

I was curious on how the people who have already repainted their xmods on how they covered the tailights. I know taping is the best way but with my Skyline how in the world could i do it?! Would it look bad if the only thing I masked off were the head lights, tail lights and the windows? Thanks for the help

From what I have heard, you can take out the head lights some how. At least thats what I think.

Well the head lights are the least of my worries..seeing how i can probably tuck the tape in between the body and the light...I'm worried more about the tail lights...thanks for the help tho :-P

I'm not sure about the skyline, but when I painted my rsx I took both the headlights and tailights off. Look on the inside of the body where the pegs hold the lens on. Scrape the glued/melted part off and push slowly on the peg from the inside. They should pop off. Like I said, I'm not sure about the skyline. Never seen one in person but if you can take the lenses off I recommend doing that.

Those pegs?
I think so. Can't really tell from the pic. They're just the plastic peg that is part of the lens and holds it to the body. To put them back just put the lens back in and a dot of superglue on the pegs from the inside. Worked perfectly for me. But like I said I've never seen the skyline taillights but I assume they are held in the same as all the others. Good luck and let me know if I can help you with anything else. Peace

Teki
