I did this mod yesterday, and yeah.....it works out pretty good. Got my rare earth mag. from Rad Shack for approx. $1.50. Just make sure that mug is centered, and the polarity is right!!!

The rare-earth mag. seems to make my bit a little more responsive to the controller.

hmm yes, my steering could be more responsive - this sounds like the next good mod to do.

I've heard that the rare-earth mags. can increase your chances of donuts, but soft tires would lessen....hard tires increase....the chances.

4 bits...... 4 rare earth magnets. They work great!! I was a little suspicious too, but they are amazing. My bits turn so much faster and it is a very crip turn to.

Also, I found that it fixed a steering problem I had. My bit would make a very sharp turn to the right. When I turned it to the left, my bit made a very gradual and wide turn. The rare earth magnet corrected that.

I really recommend this mod!

miniwrx - read this

Your right/left steering problem wasn't fixed by the rare earth magnet per se...it was fixed because you mounted it centered on the steering linkage. Your old magnet was off center.

Arughhhhhhh............
My bit bopped the wall.....and the chair.....and the cat.....cat's paw...wall again.......damn cat. My WRX is pullin to the right now, can BARELY get it to turn left. I guess I'm gonna have to epoxy that little bugger rare-earth mag. centered...

-What do the 24 AWG buttons mean again......I can't remember.
