x mods, oh oh

just got mines yesterday , first of all the only mini z part to fit is the lug nuts for the wheel, thats it....i got all the hop up kits ,all of them. the awd system was a pain to put in plus the bearings, i noticed that there is no clearance for the steering after the awd was put in , the car would not steer to the left after it was installed, i will return the one i have for another one , i think they rush this item in production, the steering trim on the controler does not work , i might have got a bad one.. plus i will buy a second one and remove that bs electronics the have in them the chasis is feasable, the mini x electronics will fit in the chasis, the servo and the rx and the esc can be place some where else , if some one does a after market pan chasis for the xmod i'll surely buy one, incorporating the awd kit plus the suspension ,it will look similar to a mini x . if you are a serious rc person you will be disappointed , if you a rc fanatic mod person you will be happy with the xmods potential .......

So if I were to set my mill up to cut a fiberglass chassis for these, you'd buy one.

If you draw something up I may give it a shot

I really dont see how a pan chassis would be better than what is there unless you lay down the motor+receiver/esc on one side and use lithium batteries on the other side.

Maybe add a set of the front a-arms to the lower part of the front then you'd have upper/lower a-arms which might allow a bit more suspension travel/tunability.I dont like how the rear suspension travel is set up but it probally allows better traction when cornering that way.

I think lithium batteries will be the single most significant change we can make to one of these.(more power/less weight- thats a good combination)

x mod mod

if you do make a chasis that uses the xmod suspension configuration with awd i'll buy one
the xmod squeezed all those electronics in a tight place ,with a pan chasis you can spread the electronics out and the batteries.....by the way i returned the rsx i had and got a supra ,i gues the longer wheelbase does make a difference , i installed the awd , no problem now.....please everyone should check their x mod the last one i had did not have a plastic covering over the electronics under the awd shaft towards the rear , i noticed that when i got my supra, it had it the rsx din't .... back to my supra everything installed bearins, awd, phase 2 white motor ,highest torque and the finally will be an external turbo .................
