Thanks for the reponses. All of my 1/10 scale cars use pinions that have set screws so I wouldn't ever need it for that large a motor. So I think I'm just going to order the micro.

Anways, it's not the heat shrink tubing that you have to open up a little. It's the opening on the chassis and steering knuckles.
