I made the body about 1/2" longer and put a slot...

I made the body about 1/2" longer and put a slot car body on it.It fits pretty good I just cut the clips off the sides of the body(on the inside)and cut a slot in the front and the back.

the dual motor mod doesn't really do anything...

the dual motor mod doesn't really do anything except add more weight,use CAT5 wire for antenna and yes i think you should do the pot mod

I didn't do the control mod because it doesn't...

I didn't do the control mod because it doesn't work.The control already charges at full voltage(3V) to charge the single cell.You have to charge 2 cells at 6V.

It would work as long as you can keep them on there for 45 sec.
and make sure you don't get them backwards.there really isn't any hacking to do to make a 2 cell charger and if you wanted to put it...

mine did that too.check and see if the axle is loose on the chassis. the groove was worn on mine from changing gear sets so much.

I opened one up it's just like a slot car motor so it would be kinda hard to fit on the original chassis.If you put the pcb inside the xv then cut the front off and put the front of a bit on it then...
