For drifting, a base is AWD, of course, and either electrical taped tires, trimmed so they are flush with the rim/tyre, or PVC/ABS pipe.

Then you can go ahead with high-torque...

No, you can't use a ZZ controller, as Epoch's are proportional, an xmod controller won't work either.. but you could pick up a cheap mini-z controller or other on e-bay....
