NiMH mod - Excellent!

I just did this mod about an hour ago and am impressed. It was my first REAL mod but was very easy. The first time I charged it for one 45 sec. cycle and ran it for about 15 min. I then charged it for another 45 second cycle (the battery was NOT dead at this time, mind you) and ran for 30 min. before I just gave up on trying to see how long it would last. Granted, the last 10 min. or so showed degraded performance, but that first 15-20 min. it ran faster than ever! Maybe it's just my imagination, but I could've sworn it was faster!

Question - I read somewhere that you should charge it for 2 consecutive cycles, so I tried this and the charge light would not come on the second time I tried to charge it. Is it charging anyway? or am I doing something wrong?

When you charged it the second time, did you completely remove and then replace the car?

Same thing happened to me. At first, i thought my battery died on me, so i replaced it. But the problem wasnt the battery, all you have to do is wait a few seconds after your first charge (10-15), and then charge again! It should work!

Thanks Redfire,

I had to wait about 45 sec. to a minute, but it worked. Only this time my run time was considerably shorter (7-8 min). That's a great run time but nothing compared to the 30+ min I got after first doing the mod.

hmmmmmm.....

Try doing 3-4 continual charges, it should give you that 30+ minute runtime you want.....:p
