ok for those of you with dual battery cars you know how easily they flip over in a turn right?

well the rare earth magnets come two in a pack. these two are the same size as one stock magnet. i just tried using 3 halves of the rare earth. this leaves less space between the magnet and the electromagnet. i havnt glued it into place yet but this seems to help flippage a little. for those of you who like to do donuts over and over this isnt for you.

I heard somewhere if you put some hard tires on the front, it won't flip cos of the lack of grip.

they lied. i flip on thick carpet.

Hard tires on the front will generally keep the car from turning over, but it does it by creating understeer from the lack of grip, so while it doesn't flip, it doesn't really turn either...:). I can still flip mine with hard tires though...:eek:

ok my limited testing on this has yielded promising results.

the good: it definatly keeps it from flipping as much. in combo with suspension springs it will accelerate while in a turn without doing donuts. i think it is possible to "drift" now. im still not 100% sure what constitutes drifting but i imagine you could turn while spinning the rear tires at slower speeds. its cool watching one side sag while its turning.

the bad: you cant turn as tight. you have to center it exactly. you have to glue it in there. you will pick up bigger pieces of metal. its still possible to flip(not as likely).

wouldnt replacing the front wheels with the plastic front wheels from a hotwheels kit racer acheive the same result? This to me seems like a better way to acheive the same result without adding the extra magnet in the front to pick up more metal.

not sure if you are talking about solid plastic no rubber wheels becuase i haven't seen a kit racer. If so though, adding thoes to the front would create no grip on surfaces such a hardwood. It would be the same as taking the tiers on the front wheels and just running on the plastic rims.
