cat5 antenna for internal wiring

would it be OK to use the CAT5 antenna for internal wiring in my controller? i've snapped the battery --> PCB and PCB --> charger wires too many times. and the CAT5 stuff is thicker. much thicker. would it be OK to use that to replace those wires, or is CAT5 meant more for data transmission (network cables, or as in this case, radio frequencies via the antenna)?

I have had the same problem. I may do it to my remote tonight...

Wire is wire. Bigger wire does help a very minute amount by having a lower voltage drop.... but there's barely any to even notice in the first place. So yeah, go ahead.

i'm not doing it for better voltage transfer. i'm doing it cuz i keep snapping the wires that are there and the cat5 is much thicker, so it won't snap as easily..

anyways, i replace the wire in there with cat5 and it works fine..

like he said above wire is wire. cat5 is pretty good wire. i installed it as an antenna and i think i gained a whopping 6 inches!!!
