Green Gears (3.43:1)

I have a set of 3.43:1 green gears. My 2.6 cannot provide enough juice to get them turning. I will eventually do dual batteries, but using only one battery, is there any way I can use this gearset practically? It seems wayyyyy too low a gearing to be useable.

NOTE: if you connect the battery directly to the motor it will spin them up real fast, but the PCB on my car limits the amperage and voltage enough so that my 2.6 can't start up. Also, the mesh is awful in my Microsizer, its fine in the car it came on, the Hot Wheels KIT Racer.

Come on, 31 views and NONE OF YOU KNOW how to use these and have the car still be driveable?

sounds like you need a motor with more torque try a 1.0 or 2.2 if you have one laying around, hope that helps.
good luck!!!

make sure you are using the WHITE pinion gear - the one that you attach to the motor itself. the motor probably came with the black one, which wont work. get any bit racer replacement motor (my 3.0 came with a black one and a white one) and put the white one on - it will turn your bit racer pinion gear.

I am using the white pinion that came with it, and I have a 2.2 that can't turn it either. I'm hoping dual batteries will remedy this...but who knows. Anyone out there successful with super high gearing?

wow that sucks... i dont get why they wont turn tho.. i would think 2,6 have enuff power to turn em.

try the zip zap motors(NOS and TURBO) i have these gears and they have great top speed compared to the bit motors. If youy try the 3.0 and up you will have horrible acceleration and top speed.

I can't get a 2.2 to pull 3.43. Get a 4.57 that will pull well (I have one) very steady accel. Great for draging.

Looks like I'm picking up another KIT racer....

you see i had a similar post

payaso said take it off
so i did.
its the same example in a real car
look at it this way
ur driving a "stick"car
like shocon's civic
when u upshift, the gears in ur transmission
get smaller
SOooooo.
the idler gear stays the same but as you
shift up, the axle gear gets smaller
so as the idler gear turns at the same ratio,
as the revs get higher, u will want to upshift
which causes the axle gear to get smaller,
so with the smaller gear attached to the axle
the wheel will obviously turn more.

hehe
dont take my advice if i dont wan too

lol

strange ... i have the green gears and a 2.6 motor and im using the plack pinion. and it works just fine

Use the gear which originally came on the car for the new motor.
