AAAARRRRRGGGGHHH!! STUPID 3.8 MOTORS!! (or was it my fault?)
well, I ordered my first 3.8 motor and got it in the mail friday and I was really excited to see how my dual cell bit would perform with it. well, I plugged it into the charger, all was going fine until about 4 seconds into the charge, the motor revved up and quickly let out a small puff of smoke. my new motor was toast :( at first, I got mad at the person I bought it from (on ebay) but then I thought that maybe it was my fault. I thought this because I charge my bit with an 8 AA 9.6 volt battery pack. usually my bit charges in about 10 seconds with this set up and the PCB board would usually get a bit warm after charges. could the high voltage possibly have fried my motor?

Holy Crap!
8aa is over doing it I think. I use 4aa and it works great, alot of people use 3aa. That is likely why something has burnt out. If the motor revved for a second, it likely just glicthed or you hit the controller button, causing the car and motor to receive 9.6v and buring it out. |
dude you blew the damn thing out. to much power . what were you thinking
