NiMH rechargables problem

On a full charge, my 4 RS Nimh rechargable batts last about 15mins, then the car starts to get slower (and boring) I am using awd and a stage 2 motor, is this normal, or should I get new batts? It gets really annoying, as my charger takes 9 hours to charge them! my quick charger is out of action, as i need a plug adaptor.

would the batteries last longer in an xmods evo with the same hopups?

No problem here!! What mAh are you useing?

1.2v 700mAh
the green RadioShack NiMH rechargables

If this is normal, what batteries should I get if I want to last longer on one charge?

I cant solder to save my life, and I dont have a spare £40, as ive just bought an xmods evo car chassis with full electrics from ebay :D

my xmod gen 1 struggles to tun a full circle in my 5ft by 6ft kitchen, will the evo chassis do better then this? and will the carge last longer in an evo chassis?
