Just noticed something interest

I thought my rear axle well was beomming loose on one side. I've read posts about people inserting foil or something in there to tighten it up. I just finished my dual cell mod and was thinking "damn, it sucks that I finally get my cell mod to work and now a problem comes up.

Anyway, if I try a different axle, if fits fine. Moral of the story? If you think you've stripped your rear axle well, try a different axle. If might fit better.

Thats all

Ive got one of the cars that requires foil wrapping, and its not the axle... its the chassis itself that has been worked wider and wider from me changing gears to often

Kajog, by the way, the foil from inside of a pack of smokes does works great!!

I got it

Was gonna post this earlier but I had the same problem.
So I put a drop of CA glue (krazy glue) on the loose side and voila! Just like knew. I think the CA gel type glue will work better because you can control the shape.

My $.02 worth.

How do you shape the glue. Can you please explain with a little more detail? I'd like to know I have a different option in case this really becomes a problem for me. Maybe I will assume that you put some glue in the problem spot, let it sit for a bit and the stick an axle in the there and roll it around. Then take the axle that you just used and throw it in the garbage since I assume its trashed. Once everything's dry, yer good to go? Is that what you did? If so, I saved you some typing, is not, I just type this for nothing :D

With the Gel type you just need a small little drop (shape I mean doesnt run so the drop stays in one place)

First fit is snug but it works great!:D

i think i understand leave the axle out and just put a little dab on the loose side where the axle goes in let it dry and there it should be tighter fit am i close?

Right on the money!

that sounds like a more permanent fix. im sick of messing around with foil. btw i got the k.i.t. racer and the white slicks are great. much tighter turning.

i used my hot soldier irona nd had it cool for about 4min ..just another to melt the plastic enought ot shape it ..i melt just below the snap part of the chassis and it pushed the plastic almost up the hole and it was hard to snap in the first time now its like brand new.i thought crazy glue makes plastic brittle??if you use my method make the iron just a lil hot and dont use excessive force..you dont weanna ruin the shpe of the body just put plastic where it belongs peace-cat-
