Question for ION and all: SP Frequency 40abc compatibility
ION specified in a previous post that the super perfection 40Bmhz will control a 49mhz Microsizer. This is all the info I could find in this forum. What about 40A and 40C?
Because Toyeast is selling only 27abc and 40abc frequency's, I am hoping that they represent the following: 27a = 27mhz 27b = 35mhz 27c = 40mhz 40a = 45mhz 40b = 49mhz 40c = 57mhz Can anyone confirm this? Or does anyone by chance know which one of the lettered frequency's won't interfere with 27mhz (motorworks), 40mhz (old lxx booster) and 49mhz (microsizer)? |
They are cheap TX/RX devices... they will likely interfere with each other regardless of frequency its common for 27mhz Bit Char G to interfere with the 49... if the situation is right.. close enough, etc...
price thats paid for cheapness... the clones are even worse... The closer the number of the mhz is the more likely it will interfere with another car, but it more than likely will have dificulty controlling it... 27 = 27... I doubt a 27 numbered car would be on a 40mhz channel.... the abc is probly just colors of bodies or something... |
No, the a,b or c indicates different frequency channels.

Looking for tech info, not a review.

Yes, I'll confirm the fact that they are on different freqs than they say. Don't know wich ones though.
You could tune the potentiometer if you are getting interference from another controller. If it's alot of interference, then I wouldn't bother, but if it's only a little then it might work. Basically, the whole pots mod came about to increase range. But you could also do the reverse to take it out of tune with a different controller. Incidently this may increase your range as well. It works like so; Look at the bottum of the car's pcb. There is a white cylender, plastic-like piece that sticks up. This is the potentiometer. If there is any goo on it, then carefully scrape it away with something. You'll probably need a friend for this next part. Basically you'll see a screw inside it after you take all the goo off. This needs to be adjusted (turn it clockwise or counterclockwise)with something NONMETALIC. Metal will interfere with the process and give you incorrect results. The best way to do the pots mod is to have one friend stand as far away from the car as he can and still get a signal. Now adjust the pots in very small rotations. The range should increase because you are getting it more in tune with that controller. On the flip side, this can be used to take it out of tune with another controller. Keep in mind that the car may already be tuned the best it can be. Most aren't though. |
I know this may have been a little more info than you wanted. I know the 27a is on the same freqs as the tomy 2-speed 27mhz.

27a = 27mhz
27b = 35mhz 27c = 40mhz 40a = 45mhz 40b = 49mhz 40c = 57mhz Confirmed to be correct for the lxx super perfection. Also on a side note, in the bit faq page, they have the frequency's listed backwards for the old lxx (it should be this way: 01=27mhx, 02=35mhz, 03=45mhz and 04=57mhz). |

i love the sea of misinformation on this site.
and no they aint lying when they say 27abc and 40abc. draconius is correct about similar frequencies crossing from time to time. but he is exagerating how common it is. normally the lower freq will be the higher one's bitch. i believe the superbits use a different chip and they use a different modulation so i believe this whole thread is based on LIES. thank you drive thru |
It's a potentiometer. If you look close, you'll notice a little more than just a "copper coil". Go ahead, take a look. There is a small peice of lead, some other stuff, etc, etc....
This pot is used to pick up the signal. Certain amounts of wraps and the position of the lead dictate wich freq it can grab a hold of. I'm really getting tired of this place. |
I will check, but I`m preety sure that is a coil with adjustable ferite core which is common in rx and tx. Micro-Amps answer this plz....
