Best for cheap
I have the RSX with a stage 2 drift (fastest motor I have seen for the races I do because the rest have horrible accelerations for what I have tried.)on it and metal bearings and stiff suspension all around. I am new to this, and I ordered a 5th cell to put on and today I am buying the IC3's for my car. Now I want to have a fast car and not have to do much technically. I have heard things about mightymods.com superstar ssr motor is good. CF driveshaft people said is good. I mostly do shorter races about the length of a basketball court. My friends are running the same setup as I have but I want to be faster. I want to fly off the line and have a high top speed too. What are the recommendations and links to buy these parts at. I don't want to spend more than $50 on everything. Thanks for all the input in advance. Also I own the AWD upgrade kit if somebody suggests I put that on.

The link to the motor online it doesn't have a pinion gear on it? I want a fully assembled motor not one where I have to work on it. I will work on car just not motor. Thanks

neurokinetik works on his car, seems as if you wouldn't want to have to do that.
Once you've gone through the RS Xmod mods, there aren't too many drop-in applications ready just yet. There is the CF driveshaft, CF chasis(soon), CF braces(I think you can get them on ebay), and you may want to try a stock MiniZ motor(beware of the faster MiniZ motors or you may have to actually do some work on your car  ). |

I also have a supra I could put the motor in. If you wind me a motor like yours that will make my car go as fast, then I will buy it off you for $30

Engines are cheap. You can buy Mabuchi 130 motors for less than $3 at RadioShack, Hobby Shops, or other electronics places. Get a few and practice. Once you are confident that you can wind the motor and solder the wires to the comms, get a 180 and do the same to it - its fairly hard to mod a 180 motor to the point of where its too hot and burns MOSFETs. Its much easier to burn your FETs with the 130.

Where can I buy the fastest 180?
