All of the cars use the long setting except the RSX, it uses the middle setting.

BC,
Can you change the wheelbase to the medium setting without changing the driveshaft? I wanto do this mod, But i have the long chassis setting and this fellow has the middle setting. Do I need a new driveshaft or can I just go ahead and shorten the wheelbase by swapping screw slots? thanx |

You can use the long shaft and change to the middle setting only if you are using the 2WD Rear Drive setup. What you have to do is cut down the front axle retainer? The piece that goes between the wheel axle pins and hold them in place. That piece also keeps the shaft from sliding foreward in the 2WD setup.
You will have to remove the same amount you move the shaft foreward, which would be the distance from the center of the longest screw hole to the center of the center screw hole. Keep in mind, if you do this, you will not be able to go back the long setting and use that front axle retainer on 2WD, but you can go back to AWD. |
So if I wat to have 4WD, I would have to get a new medium sized drive-shaft?
I've seen the driveshafts in CJ's FAQ but can you get them OTC from radioshack. My, dad I in the states and I can get him to pick up one for me. |
If you want to change the setting AND have AWD, you will have to buy the correct shaft.

Thanx guy.
Can I get the shafts from RS? If not, How can I get them? |
You should be able to order them thru the 800 number or thru a store. Look up the part number in CJ's FAQ.

so bc u think i can fit a two aaa cell holder in the car and a 180 motor?, i ask u this because didn't u do a two cell to a supra?
|
If the 180 motor is any bigger than the Xmod motors, you will not be able to without shimming the rear end up on the body.
