Looking to do an Controller Anenna Mod...With a switch.

Ok...I have a really, really small switch. (3 prongs, can fit inside a bit front tyre:D) So, can I make it so that I can switch from stock antenna and extended antenna? I want to do that so I can let my freinds drive without letting it get lost. Or if I am in a tight area.
PS: I'm using an antenna off of a Kyosho KT-2 Perfex antenna.
PPS: What type of wire should I use?
This'll be my first soldering job, even though I've practiced.
