Solid axle

Hey guys i'm new here and i am going to get one of my friends Generation 1 Xmod for $2.00.

Has anyone ever atempted to take the axle parts and put them like in a tube so it will be solid..

Kinda like Killer's mini-z crawler?

Notes:
1. It's a generation 1 xmod
2. I will not be planning to buy a generatio 2 xmod
3. I will not buy anything online but only offline
4. this will probaly be a Radio Shack and Hobby Town USA project

basically, lock the diff? sure... take a sheet of binder paper, cut two circles the size of the large blue gear inside the diff, insert paper pieces into diff and re-assemble. yes, the diff pin should go straight through those pieces of paper.

simple, and temporary if you find you don't like the locked diff feel.

or do you actually want a whole, sprung, solid axle like a muscle car? for that, you might as well adapt the rear pod of a mini-z to your xmod.
