Nice, dude! I was workin on a hummer for off-road but the body is die-cast so i'm gonna use the tires for a custom bit with big wheels and off-road capabilities. Also, the front will have articulating suspension and rear will have T-bar susspension.
Good luck with your Monster bit, keep us updated and hope it works!

I have thought about a bit monster with dual motors and full suspension(4 link f&r) and your right there isn't a lot of room so I thought maybe offset the crown gear(HO slot car axle gear) at the axles and have the rear drive shaft come out the front of the transfer case on say the left side and have the front drive shaft come out the back of the transfer case on the right side just to allow for suspension movement and be less stressful on the u-joints.
Or it would be easier to just make one like a mini clod buster having complete/seperate front/rear axle sets.
no matter how you do it PLEASE posts pics I wanna see it.
I just remembered I have some little motors that came out of hotwheels stunt cars (I believe they are discontinued) that has a pinion gear on each end and used power from a capacitor (the car launched from charging base)to run it so I'm thinking it could be used in a bit setup but the motors are actually bigger than a bit motor they actually look alot like a slot car/stomper motor.
I need to dig those up and test them out.

just so everyone knows, it will have front wheel steering and 2 wd drive. Im tinkering around with suspension right now, i think ill eliminate this first time around. I think ill call this Ox (i got a clone skyline body that i made have spike things come all out og the place). The chassis is made of light somewhat strong metal, its just from one of those cases you get from aol for free everyone (atleast i do). I do know how to make a micro 4x4x4, (4wd/4ws) but its too complicated and i dont have the equipment currently to do it, but beleive me, i will make a 4x4 truck all custom using bit char-g electronics (there so easy to get and have all the functions, its great). Ill get pics in a day or so, i gotta get my camera working.
Me and my brother (were 15 and 19) are putting our money together and making a Cnc milling machine.
If you have any questions or comments email me at peiceofpaper@hotmail.com or leave a post.
THANKS!

i did, those things look so cool, the problem is that they cost alot more to make than modding this truck for free. Money is always a issue, and i dont got any.

id be all over those tttt trucks, infact, id make a Deuce and a 1/2. Only problem actually is the receiver which is like what? $50+? Everything else all thogether would be like $20. the truck is probably the cheapest part.

instead of a for steering you should use a kidriffic cars steering it is powered by the same kinda pager style motors and is very small but powereful steering whick would be better for turning big tires

Nick, tank type steering is cool but not for a monster with large visible tires. It's ok for a car but it boesn't look cool on a truck. And plus, with a dual cell you'll get better steering torque , i think.
I really like my avatar, really

I want the steering cuase that way it looks more authentic, having the only front wheel steering monster truck around would be cool. Plus, im upgrading to the whatever it is, NfeB or Nfend or whatever is super strong magnet, that with 2.4 volts is enough to power it nice and well.

no kidriffic makes cars with car style steering where it turns they are powerd by bit sized motors which makes them super strong
I garentee you it wil be stronger then the bit front end and the wheels will center up better after turning because it doesent use weak springs
the only bad thing about the cars is is the motor in them is hardwired and not too fast but if you duel celled it and put on big tires it would be great
it also has a pistol grip controler which I find better then the bit ones
