SP battery box
I've seen a couple of posts about not using the stock battery box, but I never saw any solutions. The first thread that mentions it is:
http://tinyrc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=924 and the second is about battery layout, but shows someone who has obviously removed the battery box:
http://tinyrc.com/forums/showthread....&threadid=7114
The problems to overcome are mounting the rear suspension plate to something and finding a new location for the antenna tube mount.
After playing with aluminum for my mini-x 4WD motor mount mod, I'm thinking I could make something out of aluminum to serve the purpose. It looks like thats what redrider did.
Also, does anyone know what batteries are supposed to fit in the slots cut in the stock chassis? My 1/3AA saddle pack seems to fit into the slots decently...
Thanks.

Well, you guys were useless :P So I made my own solution. Aluminum upper deck with DRR kingpins as standoffs. Also has a battery hold down, using servo tape now, but I plan to stick a post thru and use a body clip to secure it in the future.
Tried to put more pics (at higher res) up on my website, but my ISP is being a ho, or at least their FTP is.
