I like the revised plate. Seeing most of the scratches are at the rear of my skyline. I have a couple of questions. What did you use to drill the holes and create the spaces for the body clip and power switch? Also do you notice any difference in the driving performance of the vehicle? Does it run slower or handle differently?

viperkilla, Only when I go to bed. The car handles all the same. The added weight is very little, hardly none at all, plus this car has the 2 extra cells. I drilled pilot holes in the corners and used a dremel and hobby knife to cut the openings.

i just got done making my first one, i found a pack of 10 sheets for 1.50 at home depot and i just made one..

This idea probably doesnt fit in this thread but, I have tried using a skid plate made of the zip zap box. I just cut out a piece that would fit under the chassis of my XMOD and it works great.

wow this skid plate is niiiiiiice.
i was thinking about making one for mine from a soda can!
hahaha, like cut it, then flatten it... and all that.
