LOL. I think the cars in the game have absolutley no torque period, If you do a free run and go to manual. Look when your car launches in first gear. Tahts gow i found out when it produces the MAX Torque at what RPM. The Peogot is like at 8-9 thousand RPM!. The best car it the 350z i think. We need Muscle cars! LOL
Mabe Once they get some downloadable cars off the net like all the other NFS's

NFSU won't be downloadable/Expandable, unlike previous titles in the series. the PS2 doesn't support this. Neither will there be car or level editors, trainers, custom painjobs, etc...

@ZipZapin
Yes, thank you, I'm quite aware the fact that the game is supported on various platforms, the playstation is only one. Perhaps I'm not explaining myself very well. In order to make the online multiplayer mode available across these platforms (PC and PS2), EA have decided that it won't be possible to hack NFSU ( for the PC)with those editors that made earlier iterations so popular. On the PC. Not on the PS2.
Suppose you did get one of the downloads you spoke of. On your PC. Suppose it lets you add a different type of car, for example, a BMW. Previously (in NFSU HP for example) you could go online with your BMW, and other users on their PC could download that file so they could see your BMW as well. Unfortunately the PS2 doesn't have this facility, so If I tried to race you online, my PS2 would look at your BMW and say "WTF!!!" and probably pack up in shock. It's this limitation on the PS2 that prohibits the downloads on the PC.
But Maybe I'm wrong. it's quite possible that there is, or will be a PC only hack/editor/download. For the PC...

Starting a new topic (NFS-wise):
How many style points does everyone have?
I have 5,049,932 and unlocked everything as far I know (up to Eddie's skyline, which you unlock at 3,000,000)
My secret:
-Use skyline (fully upgraded) with 5 star rep.
-10 laps
-Drift track 1
-Get Maxxed x5 on 2nd lap
-pull about 20,000 drift points per lap
-subtotal of 2,000 style points at end of race (x5 rep.=100,000 style points per race.)
It only took me about 30 mins. to get from 2,000,000 to 4,000,000 style pts. using the afore mentioned details.

I've got 4.7 million style points, I dont really care about style points anyway
For drifting..use the miata, I can get like 70 000 points per lap with it.
Whats the most points uve got from one drift? I once got 72 000 or somewhere in the 70 000 range

The best I've gotten at DT1 was a 41,300 pt. drift (just did it about an hour ago). I got to about 80 mph, then tapped the E-Brake, while holding the car at 1/2 throttle. I pointed the nose of the car right at the sharp part of the corner, and then slid around the entire turn, and all the way down the strait (see diagram). It'd be cool if there was a cheat code where you could use NO2 on drift tracks. I probably wouln't help your score, but it'd be a whole lot of fun with split screen.

Thats what I'm trying to find out. I think you may unlock something after 10mil or something. I thought there was something for 5 but there isn't. And also, drift races are just fun

the highest official drift combo i have gotten was 73,567, but the unofficial is 112,134, but it's un official cause i barrely tapped a wall with my tail but it still counted it, i am the drift king rememeber that, j/k i just like to drift so much i can play for loike 3hours straight, but i wish you could have music when you drift, that would be better.
