I've ordered so much stuff...
I did some research on forums before I bought one, the MS Pro seemed to be the way to go, so I got one, and then after reading about all the modding that you can do I ended up ordering/buying $142.45 worth of stuff (inculding shipping). Some of that is reusable, like the multimeter, solder, soldering stand, heat shrink tubing etc. But I think I went kinda crazy. I got impatient and just kept ordering stuff. Sort of like, "I want that!" *orders*, "No, I want that!", *orders*, "Woah, I should get those instead!", *orders*, "Damn, I need some of those.", *orders*, "Crap, I'm going to need a carry case for all this stuff I've been ordering.." *orders*
Kinda crazy, I'm going to have like 3 motors, and 22 batteries total, and I only have one car!
I should have done all the reseearch and THEN ordered, but I was too impatient.
I've ordered:
- ToyEast: Perfection 3.8, NiCd Battery, tires
- Battery World: Sampler pack of 8 NiMH batteries
- www.allelectronics.com (GREAT site, highly recommended if you do anything with electronics): Multimeter, Helping hands, 1/2 lb of solder, soldering stand, (2) NiMH 6 battery Packs (12 batteries), 1/8" heat shrink tubing, 1/4" heat shrink tubing, 3/8" heat shrink tubing, 1/2" heat shrink tubing, (4) 20Ohm Pots
- RCMod.com: 2.6 motor, battery & heatsink
- TinyRC.com: Another 3.8 motor, Pit Case, Wheel & Gear set
Does anybody need some batteries?

That's a lot of batteries. No thanks but I'll stick with my stock NiCds (fear the snapping of fragile wires during the battery transplant process)

lol
22 batteries would mean 26.4 volts, surely that would burn up the motor...but I'm still sort of an electronics newb, so I might be wrong.

Wow, and I thought I was getting out of hand when I bought my MS Sport, then bought another body set, motor, and a original Lancer Evo MS a week later. Now I won't feel so bad if I go ahead and buy some more stuff

They didn't all work out to $1 each, they were all different batteries.
There are (12) really short 1.2V ones, (9) NiMH's, and (1) NiCd.

Did you get any layman bats? If you did I may be interested in some of those. I'll willingly take a 3.8 off your hands. I dunno how much you want though.

d00kie - i say go for the swap... if ur nice and careful, those wires are tough to break....
for the extra runtimes, im sure as hell up for it.. it freaks me out a little, but same as pulling apart the front end... do it twice and u can do it perfect forever..
