I understand you can get slot car springs to mod the pen!!
The problem is that after the mod, the pen tends to write in wider arcs...

okidoki,
today i went to wal mart to check out the new clones they had, and i saw these new ir bits ther. They were 19.99 just like in r shack. And holy crap these things r FREAKIN SMALL
i mean u could fit 3 of these into a bit (jus an axample dont try this)i dont think they had digi q steering there rear wheels were a small version of bit wheels and the front had 1 axle sorta like hot wheels axles i think they sorta have a magnet steering but no knuckles or anything. this is how i think they work:

Did you get a product name or anything... if a car like that exists, there is bound to be a website on it somewhere.....

I found them in Radio Shack today. They're called "Micro HotRodz". Here's my review:
The packaging: It has goofy see-through packaging. It includes 8 Alkaline cells, four of which are already installed.
The Pen/Controller: It is a working pen. It has a magnet to hold the car on to it. It is IR!
The Chassis/Car: It is 1/87 scale! The motor is a clone motor! There is no idle gear! But, it can only go forward and clockwise.
Total: It is a good introductory to micro rc's BUT is not as good as any Bit/clone. It deserves an 8/10.
P.S. I just checked and it says on the bottom of the car: (C) 2003 Sakar Canada....... made in China. So it may come to the U.S.

the main thing i see people buying these is that you could theoreticaly put the pcb on your bit and have it control a wepon of some sort or something else on your car (lites big magnet stapel droping equipment to stop the car behind you from stearing ect.....) with out anyone else knowing about it
