u did a very good job.
I might want to start experimenting with putty. What is avg. cost of putty?
I was thinking about adding a full bodykit to my black civic. Any tips?

thanx clearstorm
putty is pretty cheap, like $2 a tube, but takes some time to work on.......i use tamiya and squadron putty i bought at a hobby shop
if you wanna add lips to the body, simple credit cards cut up and glued around the body works well........check out sinned's tutorial

I was planning to use the Tamiya putty.
Right now i am cutting the stock front off the civic, i want to mold a whole new front to it. You think this feat will be hard, especially for a newb to putty?
btw, i am cutting the front with a X-acto. Its gonna take a while

be carefull of what you cut off.......its harder to transplant front ends with eachother, superglue doesn't hold good enuff, i use a compound called instaplastic that fuses plastics together much stronger than glue or putty.....
use the putty for the contours and body shaping
good luck and show us your progress

I would show you all my progress, but no digi camera.
How many tubes of putty did u use to make a whole body?
Also, u think maybe i can make a body kit OVER the original front end, or will that look messed up?

you dont want to make a whole body outta putty, it will be too heavy...........also, it might crack if you hit something hard enuff
i chop and shave sections i wont need and then fill with putty to get the shape i want. get some fine sandpaper and maybe a small file set....for the fine details.........
if you have a dremmel, all the better
this is how i made the nuvolari, but you might wanna check this tomorrow or sumthin, ive exceeded my bandwith

ive been working on a clear resin cast of a SSTuner Supra. The car looks AMAZING and fits a zip pretty well, except the wheels and the wells dont match up. So first, i will make a resin, cut the resin in the mid section w/ dremel, resize it to zip size (can't do it on the original cuz dremel wont cut metal of that size), and sand it out. The thing I LOVe about this baby, i wont have to mask this time. The original had windows that popped out, and w/ a lil resizing of the sunroof, i should be able to pop it in!
