Discussion - Losi Micro - charger mod / steering mod
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I got one for Xmas and have been blasting it around the driveway. What a cool micro
Of course the stock steering arm broke after a minute of runtime. No biggie, I it was easy to fix.
I removed the good steering arm and copied it with plastic, that comes from any vacuumed packed item you buy, the plastic fix works great.
I have a couple pictures in this gallery

The plastic is very flexable like the orginal and it also breaks in a VERY hard crash, so you still get the protection of having that break instead of something else futher down the linkage, like the servo gears.
So it was easy to do and I have a TON of the plastic packaging.
No the charger was another mod I did, VERY easy. I found a wall transmformer that was 12VDC and 400mah.
I opened the LOSI stock charger box by removing the 4 screws on the bottom, I solded the waires from the transformer (wall wart) to the same location the battery power leads go to. Easy!
Now I have a charger I can plug into the wall, or use batteries in when on the road.
This gives the car the best power I have seen. The charge is always the same, with good power for most of the run time.
I have noticed that with nimh batteries they get better with each use, the car runs longer and longer.
