"I have returned"...but did i even leave?
well, for quite some time now I haven't even touched my Xmods and till this piont i never thought i'll touch them again, but ever since I broke a cup joint on my Old Kyosho optima Mid, which is kinda hard finding replacemnt parts for a discontinued model, I decided to come back to yee O' 1:24 scale, and now buisness is returning to progress, people at school actually paying me to fix there Xmods!!!! yay well, nice to come back and read all the new posts

I need to start collecting money for all the work I do on everybody else's cars...
At least I got paid for replacing FETs on a couple of Mini-Zs, there was no way I was doing that for free.

are Mini Zs harder to work on than these?

no...they are much easier in my opinion...on my F1, the motor comes out after 3 screws, and the differentail comes out after 1 lugnut

wow. thats not bad considering my RC10's motor comes out in 2 and the tranny/differential comes out with 6

No, they are a cakewalk compared to an XMod. Especially the MR-02, because they simplified the front suspension quite a bit.
Technically, the motor can be removed with only two screws: those being the ones that fasten the wires to the board. Other than that, my motor comes out just by releasing a clip. Same with the front tierod. Plus all of the wires are neatly tucked away inside, and unless you are doing some more involved mods, you never really need to open up the chassis.
