Red face I just have to ask?

I will be buying a Dnano very soon and my question is. How many cars can fit on a Mini-96 track competitively? I was going to either build a table track or get a mini-96. Ayway thanks for looking I am new to the forum.

Welcome to the forums. I would say 4 ~ 6 dNaNo's would be a good. The Mini-96 is good size in length, so the cars should get spread out a bit after the start of a race. You can always open up the turns if needed by adding expansion tiles that bring the total lane width to 30 1/4" from inside to inside border. Open up the lanes all the way around and you can most likely get 8 ~ 10 dNaNo's on the track.

These guys got a lot more dNaNo's on an RCP with 50cm tiles. This track in the video has a lane width of 33" from inside to inside border excluding the first 3 tile wide straight away, while the Mini-96 with expansion tiles has a lane width of 30 1/4"

I run with my kids (3 cars) on our mini 96 just fine. If you get more than 2 deep in a turn it can dicey unless your racers have some experince with passing and overtaking. The expansion pack is well worth the cost as well. Be sure to check out the new stuff rcp has coming in his vendor forum.

There are other options if you go the table top vs. Making your own such as realtracks. There small tiles That may fit on a good sized table but it
may be tight of your concerned about a mini 96.

There are some videos with various tracks, take a look

OMG that video is crazy! Can you imagine trying to race with at least 3 cars identical to yours? LOL...
