Dual cell mod ( will 2 - 50 mah's achieve + speed?)

ZZ's come stock w/ 100 mah NIMH batts.
I want to perform a dual cell mod with 2 - 50 mah's ( i have extras laying around). Will the dual cell mod achieve the same speed results as it would w/ a dual cell mod using 100mah's? I would assume the only difference would be the run time... but i have never done a 2 cell mod.

Voltage = Speed
mAH = Runtime

As long as you setup the 2 batteries in Series (Series = voltage adds together, so it would come out to 2.4v) then the dual pack will equate to higher speed.

Namuna....last night i performed the dual battery mod in my ZZ using a parallel setup unwittingly. I now know this only increases run time at the sacrifice of speed ( extra battery weight). My question is ..when i set up the series diagram i would think the batteries would get hot / blow up. The reason i say this is because i hade a wire leading from the (+) contact on the chassis to the (-) contact on the 2nd battery. Then from the 2nd batteries (+) end a wire leading to the chassis (-) contact and the thing got MAD HOT.

The series set up seems to be exactly the same so what gives?

Is my series set up wrong?

(+) chassis contact w/ wire leading to (+) end of 1st battery
(-) end of 1st battery connected by wire to (+) end of 2nd battery
(-) end of 2nd battery connected to (-) chassis contact

Your batteries are probably shorted out. Check your insulation. Oh, and don't forget to mod your PCB for best results, this increases current to the motor while dual-cell increases voltage. both these are good.

Thanks a lot Sipsap . I finished the mod and it works well. The only problem is i cant get the Body on the chassis. Have ou performed a dual battery mod ( and if so how did you get the body back on the chassis)?

I just put some tape on my PCB cover and pushed it down. No muss, No fuss.
