Steering/New Servo Questions

Hey...New to the xmod and I got a couple of questions:

1) Can you replace the stock servo for something a little more "race/hobby" quality?? Some like a hitech Hs55 or in that area

2) on the back of the stock servo, there is a blue and red wire that appears to attach to the area near the FET...what does this wire do??

thanks

To awnser your question, Not really, but you are able to get upgraded servo's in the Suspention & Steering Kit.

From what I've seen, that kit has NOTHING to do with the servo, just the springs and toe-in...

Was looking to replace/upgrade the existing servo - and I'm faily certain that kit won't do what I need...It will help with the handling, but not the servo

thanks anyways

you can bypass the servo board in an HS-55 or similar hobby servo, and then route the proper wires from the xmod pcb to the servo pot and motor;

but if you're going to do that you might as well use another pcb, something better like iwaver or kyosho.

then what do the 3 wires in the plug do?

They look like the "standard" postive-negative-control set-up of a normal servo...
