Front Wheel Drive Integra

I just got done mounting a 25th scale Integra Type-R body on my XMOD. I like realism and was trying to make the car front wheel drive but the gears keep slipping off. Then I thought about moving the motor to the front. Has anyone tried this mod? Can anyone give me a few ideas on how to do this?

no dont do that.
just remove the rear diff;

moving the engine to the front would be awesome and would fix weight distribution problems... (fwd xmods like to burn out and understeer like crazy) but theres no room up there... instead of keeping the rear axles in back i put the original front axles and ran a penshaft going to ethier side to keep them from moving around and to keep the gear from slipping. runs pretty ok but with fwd my front end vibrates liek crazy on launches and lsd wont fit

Front Mount.

Wow, mounting the motor in the front would be a first . . . and pretty cool too man. I just did the basic FWD conversion to my Si.

another advantage is cooling... just cut out ur front bumper and do a hood lift or even a high flow heat sink

what do you mean by a high flow heat sink? and also how did the gears slip off when you drove it? I did fwd to my skyline temporarily(sp?) and it worked fine the whole time.

For the integra body to fit and work good i had to extend the chassis. Therefore the axle didnt hold the gear on.

for the heatsink if you had the engine in the front you could just cut out a nice grill for air to flow through and have some aluminum fin heatsink set up attached to the motor.. think of the cooling possibilities

the gears sliped off because i didnt put the rear axles/cups in place so the spur gear or w/e theyre called on xmods.. it kept falling out...

I must admit even though I hate the AWD kit for drifting and other such things its great for conversions and I do believe that there is a great possibity that someone will eventually do this mod. BTW I have AWD set up in my Supra...
