Front suspension problems!
hey, ive had my xmod for a couple weeks now, and i just did the steering horn straighten out thingy mod so my skyline will track straight, but once i put it back together, i realized that the suspension would not give at all, and with a body on, the chassis sat on the ground. does anyone know what might be wrong with it? do you see anything wrong/missing/ bent in the pics?

Or if that doesnt work, purchase the spring upgrade kit and see if that works.

Great macro shot of the front suspension tho. IS that a digital or regular film camera?

Try filing and sanding out the inside of the shocks just a bit. Put a dab of grease on the shocks shaft. Also the spring may have been damaged. Purchase the suspension kit if you can if not, try pulling the spring a bit till it gets its bounce back.

both springs and shocks are in good condition, its just that the suspension will not travel at all. it looks like it has something to do with the screws that hold the knuckles on.
p.s. it is a digital camera

colin4371, so the left shock works ok? it looks kinked in the photo.
Take both shocks off this will help you see whats binding or loose.
Take the front chassis top plate off so you can get a good look at the front end and make sure the tierod is on correctly.
After doing those things look closely to see if the front suspension supports are screwed down properly and in the exact spot they need to be in.(the left one looks like it is raised a bit)

Just a quick observation... It looks like you may have put the knuckles on the wrong sides. Try switching them.

maybe the mounting screws are too tight. I had mine do that when i over tightened the two screws that hold my shocks on. I losened them a bit and they work perfect again.
