VS Tanks

Wow it's been a long time since I posted here on TinyRC! I used to post in this forum as well as the Desktop Rover forum (it's gone I see). Anyway I know these aren't DigiQ's but I didn't see any other posts about this so I thought I'd mention it:

http://www.engadget.com/2007/07/01/r...scale-warfare/

They seem too good to be true so I wonder if anyone has any hands-on reviews of these tanks. BTW, I still have my old non-rotating DigiQ tanks and do play with them when I get bored. Same goes for my Desktop Rovers.

desktop rover

i think maybe the VStanks are old news?
is there no review on this forum about them ?
strange.

in a nutshell;
rotating turrets, but not proportional steering.

here's a clever review of minitanks
http://youtube.com/watch?v=RNpfLyXycjc

you can also find some other video on youtube about
VStanks.

and some very rare footage of the combatdigiQ's in action

I agree that VStanks are old news. The link I posted said the following, "Each unit fires out AirSoft pellets and can be equipped with an "action cam" to record the carnage for future viewing".

It seems they have VStanks confused with a different model. I got all excited when I first read the article, only to find out it was inaccurate. The tanks they pictured might be new models but they sure don't shoot airsoft pellets.

Question vs confusion

it had me confused for a long time too, in fact i still make mistakes sometime's

this vid shows the "whole family"
http://youtube.com/watch?v=6XE94o8_Hfo
basicly the *r is for rotor turret, pro stands for BIGGER tanks ?
something like that.
i don't know why they still show/sell the normal VStank after introducing the *R type's.

Thumbs up great

good to hear microtanks are still alive.
VStanks*r could be the best microtank that is ready available.
but in my opinion the propo combatdigiQ still is king.
a dead king maybe, but ....

@billybonz,
a plantraco desktop rover is also a fine remotevehicle,
i hope to get my hands on one someday.

I have 3 rovers and a camera too. I just wish I had more time to play with them....maybe over the winter.
