Help please
Got a Monster Patrol 27 mhz controller. It worked fine but now it doesn't respond once charged. Not sure if the kid blew the internal battery so I charged it w/button on, while on red the lights go for abit but once green it's dead as a door knob. New batterys in the controller and still nothing. Left it for a couple of days and still nothing. What should this lady do .... change the internal battery or something else. If I have to do the battery is there a tutorial for that on site?

If you are still wondering if fatman is making an educated guess or just blowing smoke, click on his name and see how he replies to other threads.
He is the person who wanted me to believe he could "spoke" a large ZZMT gear by removing 0.5 grams. My pharmacist weighed that type of gear for me--0.196 grams in its original condition.
He evades my questions about gear ratios, will not explain how he achieves his results, and claims his camera is broken so he can't show any of us pictures. I've asked him to use intelligible English, but to no avail. What do you think he means?

please help basic meat & potatoes
ok thxs for the info re commo... have taken the truck apart to check out the internal battery to see if I can replace it. Looking for schematic or something to guide me as to parts and resodering. No offense to what I am not clearly understanding when reading and love the sense of humor but am kind of in the woods with the lingo. Still willing to hear what to "do" next.

It sounds like the internal battery to me. Though the charger could be malfunctioning. You could eliminate that if you had another charger lying around to check with.
Also, the polarity is easily seen on the battery pack. Red wire is positive, black is negative. Check and see if it has any corrosion around the battery. This would indicate a leaky battery.
Also, try charging a few cycles if the truck has been stored a long time. You might get lucky and revitalize the battery.

Still need help
Thxs Azimov for the info ..... got the truck apart and checking the battery but no corrosion. Humm admit I took it apart from the bottom of the chasis instead of the top. Got all the parts/gears ..... is there away I can replace/buy the battery. Tried to let it sit for a couple of days but it was a no go. What did you mean by "changing the cycles"? Now I'm hooked re fixing this lit guy. All ears and willing....

I was thinking you may be able to bring the battery back to life by cycling through several charges. It works sometimes. But, if the battery is completely flat and won't take a charge at all, there's not much hope.
I'm not sure where to buy a replacement.
The charger may still be suspect too.

No, you'd need another MT controller/charger. I don't think you can get the truck to clamp down on the SE charger pad well enough to get good contact. Besides, the SE charger is designed to charge a different battery setup than the MT charger.
The frequency doesn't matter as you are just using the charging circuit in the controller/charger.
You could take a 4cell AA battery pack and touch the two wires to the charging pads under the truck for a few seconds with the battery installed just to see if the truck will work at all. Be mindful of polarity if you decide to try this. Don't hold the wires on there too long as you just want to get a bit of juice in the internal battery to see if it will accept it. You don't want to fry the trucks circuitry.
This would tell you if the charger is at fault or the internal battery.
