Exclamation *new* wheel weights

Hey, I had an idea about putting weight in the tires for climbing high angles, and i really didn't want to have the wheels so heavy like with the idea Steve had w/ the solder. So, you can use bbs, just pop some in each wheel and they will just roll, so you dont need to have a solid piece of metal slowing you down...Try it!

It's a good idea, but the point of the solid piece was maximum grip for crawling (which is slow anyways), I can see this working great for racing where speed and grip matters. It'll help keep it from flipping too.

How are you gonna keep them in?

also, with this mod, you can take out, or put in just as many as you need. Also with a big chunk of solder, it robs your power more, even if you have great gearing and an extra motor, the big weights take your trucks torque. Thanks for the compliment

This idea of "rolling weights" has been discussed much earlier in other forums. It is good and helpful of makg to bring it to our attention in this forum. Thanks.

It can yes, but it will also lower the center of gravity significantly. Some climbs require the low center, otherwise it falls over. The extra grip from the weight is more beneficial than detrimental.
