not too bad. i just used a hobby knife and some scissors. if you can get a hold of a dremel that'd make things a lot easier when it comes to the curves and the holes.

Does doing this mod also make the chassis lighter? If so how much of a difference can you notice?

it doesnt do much. it just makes it look better. probly a tiny bit lighter but nothing drasticly different.

What is it made out of? It looks like plexi glass and if so is a rigid as the stock ones

i used 2mm plastic i took off of a box. I scrounged around the house. You can problably go to a local home depot and get thin plexi glass and dremel out the shapes. it would look a lot nicer and would be a lot more stiffer.
