I like the Alfa Romeo 155 touring car in the foreground... and the Volvo 850 wagon

You know what Arch, forget Dnano for a while now that these are coming soon. They're still small, run on batteries, have 2.4, but all that aside- plethora of affordable plastic bodies with a far greater variety(at least for my tastes) than dnano ever will.

I own Aoshima's 1/32 AE86 and that kit(costing under 10$) is great- detailed, light, etc making it a perfect conversion piece for a matching scale RC.

If anything I think we should give these a shot solely to avoid spending 200$ per RTR car (if they cost less) and to have plenty of 10$ bodies vs 50$ ones.

um, no. and for a couple reasons...

1. hpi 2.4 system will undoubtably differ from kyosho and i'm not in a hurry to get yet another radio, and or module.
2. we have yet to see, read or hear about the quality of these kits. if they are indeed more slot car like, they are not going to challenge the dnano much if at all. there has been little translated info posted on these yet. give it time though. i'm sure the hpi website will get them up soon, hopefully.
3. we have no idea at this point when these will be released much less make it to the u.s. it took a year to get the dnano.
4. i have also not seen any pricing information given yet. it is entirely possible these could cost as much if not more. more than likely they will be slightly less but i'm willing to bet not significantly.
5. using slot car or plastic bodies is not the ideal solution nor inspiration to purchase micro scale. given time, we will get plenty of body choices. i understand your particular taste in car choices is often overlooked at these scales but thats just the way business is run, make what sells most. in your case, yes, the cheap plastic kits are a simple solution to your dilema.

as cool as these are, and yes, i will own one or more, i am not ready to jump on board completely nor dismiss dnano's.

i like to think this will offer yet another class to micro scale racing, not a 1/43 killer. i've already had and ran 1/32 scale as well. i am familiar with the possibilities already. check out the 1/32 CRT racer. that was YEARS ago and had more of a pan car chassis setup.

Tiny.....I know, I need to do this (for the past 4 years... I have said that).

Will and Dan have asked me also.....This fall/winter I want to become a regular.

Hope to see you soon.....more hopeful to have some HPI Racing32 cars when they are released (um, I mean IF they get released).
