Tiny rc get together at TRU
You guys know just recently toys r us (tru) just stocked up on microsizers, hopup kits, lap counter, tool boxes, and body kits right. Well ever since I saw that I wanted to try to get them to have a time on a specific day where everyone brought in their tiny rc's and raced, and had fun. I was going to talk to the manager and tell him the basics of the plan, and then give him a typed out paper going indepth. The problem is how to organize such an event.
Heres one idea: Have about 3 tracks and a drag strip. At each track have 2 lines to wait to race. One line for 49mhz and one line for 27mhz. Each race could be 3-5 laps long, depending upon the length of the track. At the drag strip their would still be 2 lines to wait in, and you would drag race whoever you ended up against 3 times.
My other Idea isn't fully planned out but involves the lap conter to find the best time on a track.
Anyone got any other ideas? I'm not sure if it will happen but if it did it would be sweeeet. Btw, I'm sure if they did this micro rc sales would go way up.

Sounds like a prime idea. However there are no TRUs around here where I live...

My TRU is fully loaded:
-Microsizer Starter Sets/Bodys/Hop-Ups
-Cannonball Hummers
-Awsome RC
-Motorworks
-Nikko I-Racer
-That little key-chain racer someone was talking about
-Micro RC Motorcycle same brand as key-chain racer.
I think they just hot in the Microsizers too, because none of the boxes had any cosmetic damage as if they had been sitting in the store long. I bought a PRO Lancer Evo, PRO Skyline, and an R34 body kit.

Yep, the store near me has all that plus the tanks and boats.
BTW, here is a copy of the letter.
Dear Toys R Us Manager,
My name is Joshua Mcguiver. I live about 2 blocks behind your store. I have an idea that will definitely boost your sales on tiny r/c cars and trucks. My idea is that on a certain time on a certain day have a tiny r/c “get together” like you have for the Yu-gi-oh players. Maybe it could be on Sunday afternoons.
I was thinking you could have 1 track and 1 drag strip. At the track have 2 lines to wait to race. One line for 49mhz and one line for 27mhz. Each race could be 3-5 laps long, depending upon the size of the track. At the drag strip their would also be 2 lines to wait in, and you would drag race whoever you ended up against 3 times.
If you would like more of my thoughts on this idea call me at 911-384-6502 or email me at I-Ball-U@excite.com.
A good customer,
Joshua Mcguiver
I changed my last name and area code.
