xmods monster truck
After months and months of toying with the idea of building a monster truck out of my xmod i found this truck at toys r us. It's a fast lane product part of the super slick line. I took me about 6 hours to do the conversion which only consisted of getting x-mod radio grea installed. It works great. The truck parts are still stock. On the tennis court it'll hang with the mustang in the picture. I am running 4AA alkalines in the truck and 4AAA nicads and BB in the stang.
The first pick shows suspension travel (yes the other 3 wheels are on the ground).

Here's a bad pic of the servo. It's mounted vertically.

And one more for size comparision. The truck sold as 1/24 scale, but the body is closer to 1/28.

A while ago I made monster tires for my xtruck...they were too big though. I wound up using them to demonstrate flex.

I installeld the lift kit then slightly unthreaded the top screws to extend the suspension arms a little more. The monster wheels also add a lot of ground clearance.
