using the magnets from teh SB motor will increase torque and acceleration but will decrease your top speed. the scratches on teh comm is normal, it's from teh brushes rubbing on it. it's perfectly normal

it was a hybrid. then it got slower and less torquier. i rebuilt it. but now it still runs slow. the scratches seem a little deeper compared to a less abused motor.(i used mine for drifting) thats why im kinda wondering. or it could be that i need to wear in these new brushes.

The spinbrush motor's magnets aren't that wise of a choice. You want to keep the brushes from the Stage 2 endbell.

keep the xmod brushes. they should have a little block of metal on the end of a little spring. the spring is just a piece of thin metal that is springy
