Exclamation What is the best motor period?

I am pretty new to xmods and I was wondering what is the fastest, most powerful, motor with the most torque. I am quite good at building things and machining parts so a difficult project would be fine. I've read about lots of different upgrades and better motors, but which one is the best?

Thanks

first, try using the search button. that'll usually take care of most your questions, but to answer your question, there isnt a motor that would fall under the kinda motor you're lookin for. its not just the motor that'll make the thing go faster, there are so many other things that contribute to an xmod's speed, power and torque

some people might argue this with me but i belive that the nml stage 11 motor is the best so far. its actualy a 180 size motor insted of the stock type 130. the good thing about it is that you dont need fets to run it all you need is eather some lithium cells or 6 cells. and there really isnt any mods that are needed to be done to the chassis or motor mount all you have to do is leave the rear motor brace off. also i dont think it will fit in the middle length chassis like the rsx or nsx.

actually

in an xmod there arent alot of contributing factors(unless you count home made mods like fets batteries electronics etc.) the thing with electric motors is it is either one or the other or a balance of both u cant have a torkey motor that will also be the fastest.

Doesn't really matter how many RPM it turns. I can guarantee you that the 30k stage 2 motors are not spinning at 30k when they're in the car. They may turn that many unloaded, but that's not very useful, now is it?

You're an idiot. It'll never see 30k anything in the car. Unloaded i doubt many if the s2s actually do, due to inconsistencies in manufacturing. Stop being a ****head when you're also an idiot.

wow, someone thinks there cool because there are nothing but noobs on tinyrc! and also, all the S2's are machine made which rarely mess up, 52 turns per pole and ferrite magnets.. and they will run unloaded, inertia is one key factor.

there r lots of choices

my advice is that u try making ur own motor that is a fun experiment that can have good results just get a BB can with vents some diffenet guage wire and the rotor assambly and try different setups loose wound tight wound more less whatever who knows? maybe you will end up stumbling on a pretty good combination that will give u everything u want

[edit]

hmmmmm u guys are fighting about whether the s2s can spin 30k in the car well what we are lacking here is proof so at this point i think it can swing either way so far i havent even seen proof of an s2 running 30k anywhere at all instead of on the package
