Or I could JUST get the Pan chassis kit only and use that? I'm aware of the need for aftermarket eletronics.

Ph2t, the reason they're stop making them is because they're now making a full pan chassis, so you no longer need to buy the stock upgrade and the pro mod.

red texalium meets red aluminum
I love it!!!
waiting to get some smaller sized lithiums at atomic mods
(the ones for mini-z's) to fit under the electronics plate.
then a motor. it doesn't have much pickup 'cuz of the weight.

If you're using 27 mhz AM, use an RC18T rx and take the casing off. It's extremely small when you do this.

why? you don't like the 'I'm hauling refrigerators' look?
It works, and fits under the body fine, thanks though.
I like the mini-z/iwaiver conversion eternaldragon. I'll have to try that on my next one.
I'd love to see some more pics of running zero chassis'.

Nah, because it fits under the body better. I'm running an '04 Cobra body and had to de-case. Then again, I also have a Mamba that needs to fit under the body too.

Thanks Stuz. It's a 3rd gen iwaver board from towerhobbies i did it mostly for the range and also the better control and radio. The iwaver radio is great compared to the xmod one. The new iwaver board the crystal wants to face up to the body and not down so i had to wire the board upside down so the fet's are facing down so no room for an fet upgrade so i may do a spider, nelly, or v2.2 with li-poly's. I want to use the stock battery boxes to hold the li-polys if i can find some that fit with some mods to the battery boxes (They make great mounting points lol).

yeah, the Iwaiver radio is pretty good, 10 model mem, etc.
the button layout is a little confusing, but I eventually get the thing programmed. I mainly use a futaba 2PL. It's a good am27 radio.
Those crystal sockets are pretty easy to desolder and remount on the other side of the board, I've done a few f-1 board to ol or racer board conversions. the Iwaiver pro board can already accept low turn 130 motors.
I think that some of the li-ion batts on the
a t o m i c m o d s site are small enough to fit in the battery pods. They've also got these flat li-poly's that would be sweet taped to the bottom of the chassis, if they fit.

Yeah i saw those. I was thinking about getting some li-poly's that are 1-3/4" long and 1" wide i can mod the stock battery boxes pretty easily to hold them if i can find them lol.
The steering is much better to a lot sharper then the stock steering.
I only use the iwaver radio because it does the job and i got it with my new iwaver from tower. I may get the AM module for my Ko Propo EX-1 radio.
The cf chassis is great for this tho i don't need anything to really hold the xmods servo in place the chassis's upper deck holds it pretty well.
P.S. Would you happen to know what the stock 3rd gen or any stock iwaver board can handle in terms of motors?

I wouldn't go anything hotter than a pn speedy bb/atomic stock or whatever. you might try single (2x1) 4562 fet upgrade.

Could somebody help me? What servo can I use? How do I mount it? I don't mean tape. I mean to the tie rod. I have all al and carbon fiber. This is a gen 1. I need to get the servo done. TIA.

HS-55, see my site www.zero-products.com, gallery for the pics, attached one here. Remember, this works with standard 3 wire receivers, if you want to use it with the Mini-z or i-waver board, you will have to mod the servo as others have done. Sorry, I don't have the link but search around if you need to.......
