F1 dNaNo

yep, you read it right. someone is making F1 bodies for dnano. while a tad morphed, i must admit to really liking how it looks! being an F1 rc fan myself, i wouldn't mind running a class like this.

sweet find!

however, you're right, looks a little weird, but at least it's something new.

Those F1's look really cool.

But for myself, I would not race these kind of body on the Dnano chassis because of its already fragile tie rod slider. On the mini-z, the F1 can take much more abuse of the front part due to the exposed wheels. I do believe the dnanos steering assembly won't support that for long...

co-signed... the tie rod slider/servo gear assembly will not survive even the slightest impacts if you run your chassis without a body - your tie rod slider will get broken just about every time, guaranteed. i keep no less than 30 of them stock at all times for this reason. it can't be repaired, it can only be replaced.

Been reading the mini-z/dnano blog posts:

http://ameblo.jp/kyoshoblog-en/page-5.html#main

Excerpt from above:

Requests for new items (and replies from Ishikawa)

dNaNo formula car
→If we make this, I would like to design a very good one.

hmmm...seems like Kyosho hears what we are saying but not on the radar. Fingers crossed.

Hi Everyone

I am not very active here, but after seeing these F1 bodies for the Dnano's I was impressed. I wanted to mention, When you look at the picture closely I noticed they have a clear bumper that seems to protect the front wheel assembly fairly well. Just wondering if you guys that felt the front end would break easily during racing with the F1 body saw that. If you did and still feel that way, then that is a problem (I dont have much experience with the Dnano) I have two Dnano's and our LHS is planing on racing them soon, I hope the interest picks up.

Hi Guys,

I'm a big F1 RC fan and I'm impressed as well! I was searching for more pictures and found this blog:
http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/rc_spica/32591063.html

It looks like this guy took a regular model and wrapped it around a heavily modified dNaNo chassis. Is that battery standard? I do not own one of these.

Good to see how well this model works, it looks kick ass! I would love to see some modern F1 body's now.

Grtz

Awesome! Nice find edhchoe!

I was wondering, someone could design and build the perfect F1 body for the dNaNo but we would still need wheels for it. Standard dNaNo wheels would look a bit silly. Are there other options?

Greetings

i gotta stock those F1 bodies... i don't think they'd work well @ nanotrax because of the borders on our circuit but i'm sure this would be an interesting item worldwide

I just saw these recently an I think they're awesome... sorry if I'm reviving an old thread, but I don't think something like this should die....

Where are the original models coming from (to get the wings from)? Anybody know?
