Information Please

Just a couple of information questions.

There is a reoccurring sale on eBay for green ZZ batteries but it states that they will not work in ZZ SE's. Why not? What kind of batteries work in ZZ SE’s? Where can you get them, assuming they are replaceable?

I have had three ZZ SE Aston Martin DB5's with the pain in the butt motor clamp and the square base Red motors. What's the story on these? Are they left over old style motors or ??? The chassis work fine with the new (?) motor clamp and round base motors.

Just curious.

The SE uses a shorter battery (1/4AAA) than the base ZZ (1/3AAA), the SE also is Dual Cell from the factory (Their electronics need more volts.) Not sure where you can buy them, but somebody probably knows...

PITA Motor Clamp and square motors are the new SE style. They suck. Go ahead and break off the "extra" piece of the motor clip, from my experience they work just fine without. Some of the SE's seem to like the square motors better than the round ones, but honestly it doesn't really matter as long as you can get the endbell contact to seat on it's matching chassis contact.
